Worship

Worship is from 9:30-10:30 a.m. followed by fellowship and Sunday School for all ages.

Nursery is available during worship and Sunday School.

Worship is central to our life with God at First Presbyterian Church.  In a service rich with music we lift our praise and concerns to God, we hear the Scriptures read and proclaimed, and we celebrate the Sacraments of our faith.  Please join us on Sunday mornings.  There's always room in God's family and in our hearts for you.

Worship is an encounter with God.  Our worship services are prayerfully planned to create a time and space where you can spend time with God in the midst of God’s people.  We strive to use the language and technology of today to enrich our worship, including both long-time members and those seeking a new relationship with Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Our services are God centered and include times of Bible reading, preaching, prayer, and our response to God.  The congregation is warm and caring, welcoming new people at any time.  Theologically we are a part of the Reformed Tradition of Christianity.  For further information on our doctrines and beliefs, please see the Brief Confession of Faith on the ‘What We Believe’ page.

Music is very important in worship.  First Presbyterian Church offers varied musical opportunities for musicians of all ages as we seek to lead the congregation in joyful worship.  Utilizing the talents of many along with instruments that include a Rodgers organ which combines the best of pipe and electronic stops, a Yamaha grand piano, and Schulmerich Handbells and Choirchimes, we share music from all the ages, ancient to modern. Our choir has often been described as one of the best in the area and sings regularly in worship throughout the school year.

Our Sacraments are Baptism (celebrated upon request) and Communion (celebrated the first Sunday of each month and at special services). All who believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior are invited and welcome to share the sacraments of faith in our congregation.

If you are looking for a warm, caring, loving place to worship God, please come worship with us.  You’ll find a warm welcome here.
